Skyline Monument Company Works is a family owned and operated business founded in 1933 by John A. Conway, Sr. Relocating to Greenville from the North Carolina Coast; Mr. Conway initially worked for Carolina Marble and Granite. Shortly thereafter he purchased the company and renamed it as Skyline Monument Company Works. Mr. Conway ran his company successfully until he passed away in 1946, leaving the company to his son, John Jr. John Jr. and his wife, Earleen Stocks Conway, managed and owned the company until 1993. At that time John, III purchased Skyline Monument Company from his father, John, Jr.
Since 1993, Skyline Monument Company has grown from being only one location serving Pitt and surrounding counties to expanding into seven locations and serving all of Eastern North Carolina. John Conway, III, President and CEO is running the company alongside his daughter, and fourth generation Conway in the business, Lauren Conway Kennedy, Vice President.
